About the Event
In this class, you will experience curiosity-based conflict communication skills training, tailored specifically for bylaw enforcement, peace officers, animal control and other Canadian local government professionals who are impacted regularly by conflict on the job. On a live, virtual platform and drawing on experiential, adult learning principles, you will acquire critical skills for engaging conflict effectively in your interactions with the public, preventing escalation, reducing use of force, and building trust in every encounter.
Hosted by CAICR and conducted over Zoom, we will cover the connection between conflict behavior and noncompliant behavior, the science of conflict decision-making, and applied skills for effective conflict management and problem solving when it matters most.
Seats Available: Classes are capped at 12 participants to maximize the interactive, skill-building experience.
